Long queues have become common at all banks inside Makerere University as students make last hour tuition payments, and other requirements to enable them sit end of semester exams.

Every day looks busy at places like Centenary bank, Stanbic bank, Post bank and Dfcu bank as students line up to deposit money while others are spotted spread outside as spaces inside banks are limited.

A fire outbreak at St. Bernard Secondary School, Manya in Rakai district has left ten students dead and several others in a critical condition.

On Sunday 11th November at around midnight, a boy’s dormitory at the school caught fire and burnt students who were in, together with their property.

99,672 S.6 candidates have started their Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examination, an exercise that will continue till early December. Of these, 53,359 are males while 41,313 are females.

The examinations started Monday 12th November, 2018, with Mathematics and History across the country’s 2,217 centers.

The Netball She-Cranes have started training at the hockey ground, Lugogo ahead of the Vitality International Netball Series in the UK. The tournament pits Uganda against England in a three-match series from 27th November to 2nd December, 2018.

All the 18 players summoned turned up for the training.
