Museveni fears elections- Makerere Don

Dr. Simba Ssali Kayunga, a lecturer of political science at Makerere has said that Museveni fears elections and that he would rather fight a war than compete in free and fair elections.

He made the comment yesterday evening during a lecture with political science students, about the challenges faced by political parties in Africa. He noted that most parties including National Resistance Movement (NRM) lack internal democracy.

Makerere bags five Inter-Institutional media challenge awards

Makerere University bagged five awards at the recently concluded inter-institutional media challenge (IMC) held on October 8th.

The awards were in the categories of best feature story, best Luganda business reporter, best technology reporter, best health reporter and best camera.

Youth should develop multiple skills- Fagil Mandy

In order to fit in the changing economy of Uganda, former Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) Chairman Fagil Mandy has told graduates called upon the youth to develop multiple skills.

He was addressing university students at a Career Guidance and Job fair at Kyambogo University on Friday, October 31st, 2014.

Mandy urged students to engage in income generating activities, alongside their studies, citing that while he was a student at Kyambogo in 1968, he engaged in a number of activities including athletics, drama, and leadership.
