Different Muslim clerics condemn the brutal acts of the Ugandan security forces towards the civilians during Idd celebrations.

Public Welcomes move to Punish Officers who Beat Journalists

 

A cross section of Ugandans have welcomed a move by the army to punish officers who beat up journalists during the "Free Bobi Wine" protest in Kampala. This group of Ugandans believe this will act as an example to other officers anbd security agencies who disrespect the rights of journalists.

Protestors put Kampala on lockdown

KAMPALA- Policemen backed by Military Police and UPDF officers were on Monday engaged in running battles with rowdy protesters in the Kampala among others areas who were demanding for immediate and unconditional release of Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi, aka Bobi Wine. 

Bobi Wine was incarcerated in Makindye Military Barracks before the court martial dropped the charges of illegal possession of firearms and ammunitions handing him to Civilian Court. Bobi Wine was later remanded to Gulu prison on charges of treason with other legislators.
