Bryan White Applauded for Efforts to Retrieve Bodies

The self-proclaimed Kampala city tycoon Kirumira Brian alias Bryan White has been praised by a section of Ugandans for his efforts following the Lake Victoria tragedy, when MV Templar capsized.

Bryan White was among the many that volunteered to retrieve the dead bodies that were still in the water, so that their families give them decent burials. He paid the local fishermen at Mutima beach where the incident happened to remove the bodies which were believed to be under the boat which had capsized.

Police Embarks on 'Tokoora Operation' to Curb Crimes

As the Christmas season clocks in, security agencies have embarked on an operation of raiding the most notorious criminal hideouts in Kampala as part of the criminal cleanup operations in the city.

The operation dubbed 'Tokoora Operation’ was sanctioned by the President of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, which seeks to address public concerns of criminal tendencies that involve drug abuse, theft and pick pocketing around Kampala.

Mutima Boat Victims an Embarrassment – Tamale Mirundi


As the nation is still in shock and mourning several citizens who lost lives in a capsized boat near Mutima beach in Mukono, presidential advisor on media, Tamale Mirundi has called the victims of the accident an embarrassment.

According to Mirundi, the country has been befallen with great shame having very important people travelling on a vessel in such a bad state. "How can a prince and prominent businessmen travel on a boat still under repair,” he said, while appearing on a local radio station.
