The Makerere University Inter-staff competitions kick off Friday 22nd November at the Main Sports ground. The contest that will feature teams from all the nine colleges and school of law, Directorates, University Hospital, Estates and Works Department, the Main Library, Dean of Students’ Department and the Senate Building.

The units’ teams will compete in Soccer (men), Netball (Women), Volleyball (mixed team), Athletics (all), Cross Country (all) and Tennis.

The first game, cross country, will take place on Friday 22nd November while the other games will take place from Monday 2nd December to Sunday 13th December.

The games have been oragnised by the university’s Sports and Recreation Department. Respective Units are expected to constitute teams and provide facilitation for the teams as they prepare for these games.

The goal, according to a communiqué by the organizers dated 16th October, is to revive interstaff competition and thereafter constitute the Makerere University Corporate Team.

The awards
The overall winning team will be rewarded with a bull while trophies will be awarded to the winner in each category.
