Electoral Commission Chairman Eng. Badru Kiggunddu has cleared the air about the claims by the opposition that he favours the ruling party and passes policies are benefiting the National Resistance Movement (NRM).

 Speaking at “the National Violence Free Elections dialogue at Makerere University” main hall yesterday, Kiggundu said that he does not support any political party.

President Museveni in-law Odrek Rwabwog has said that transitions are tough and National Resistance Movement (NRM) is not unique in trying to cope up with these challenges.

Rwabwogo who was recently rejected by NRM Central Executive Committee (CEC) from contesting for the position of party Vice chairman for Western Uganda over inexperience said the decision was unfair but he accepted to step down.

After two days of competition, with different cultural groups showcasing the ingredients of their cultures, the 2013 Makerere university cultural gala ended dramatically.
