The rains that started early morning today at around 06:00am left most of the residents in Katanga frustrated and “cursing the day they were born.” Traders, buyers, hawkers and many others were affected.

Katanga is one of the biggest slum areas in Kampala. It is located between Wandegeya and Mulago Hospital. The rains have continued to affect every business based in the slum area.

The Uganda Cranes, Uganda national soccer team on Sunday 15th Nov, 2015 set a new record against Togo National team at Mandela National Stadium, Nambole by defeating the visitors 3:0.

The Uganda Cranes led by Serbian coach Milutin Sredojevic, a.k.a Micho, started the walk to the record on Tuesday 10th Nov, 2015 when the team set off for the 2018 World cup qualifiers match in Lome against Togo.

Students of Light College, Katikamu are in great shock after getting news of the sudden death of their fellow student,  Ssentogo Ivan who died yesterday shortly after being hospitalized.

 Ssentongo while doing his final exam yesterday felt very weak forcing invigilators to seek medical assistance for him. He was then rushed to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

 Doctors said he was suffering from typhoid and that's what has claimed his life.

Yesterday's lunch time heavy down pour left many students stranded without possible means of accessing their respective dining halls as many were seen stranded outside lecture rooms.

The down pour, which wasn't anticipated by many, started just at around 12:30 p.m, a time many be going for lunch and few had umbrellas something that left them stranded as they kept waiting for the 'indisciplined' rain to stop but in vain.
