Out of the many cancers affecting children, leukemia is the most common and covers a high percentage of the cancers and yet, people know little about it.

Although leukemia is among the most common childhood cancers, it most often occurs in older adults. It is more common in men than women and death rates from leukemia are higher among the elderly. In children, 70 per cent are cured.

The famous king of Tooro his Majesty 'Rukira Basaija' Dr. Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, visited Makerere, the oldest and most prominent university in Africa on Friday.

 His majesty King oyo was invited by the Makerere University Tooro Students Association (MUTOSA) in partnership with other students from Tooro in universities around Kampala. Oyo arrived at the University at around 3:00 p.m, flanked by princess Bagaya, the Prime minister among other officials from the kingdom.
