Mutebi Hails Nunda After Nyamityobora Drubbing

Kampala Capital City Authority coach, Mike Mutebi paid tribute to the club’s midfielder, Jackson Nunda after a 6-1 thrashing of the Ankole lads at the Startimes stadium, Lugogo on Sunday.

Mutebi singled out Nunda after the midfielder scored the last goal that sealed the Kasasiro Boys’ victory against Nyamityoboora.

Reactions as Basena Resigns From SC Villa

 

Mixed reactions have greeted the shock resignation of Moses Basena from his role as Sports Club Villa head coach after only three months in charge.

Basena succeeded Wasswa Bbosa and agreed a three-year contract with the club, being appointed by the interim committee of William Nkemba.

However, early poor performances and relegation struggles saw the former UPDF tactician terminating the contract.

In his reign as the Blues manager, Basena has had a winless run of eight games registering four draws and losing on the remaining four occasions.

Mak Students Launch Online Sports Company

 

Six third-year students of Makerere University have launched an online sports media platform dubbed "The Equaliser Sport".

The Equaliser Sport has more than 23,000 followers on Facebook and they are still growing.

The students behind the idea include Ndyababwe Myres, Okia John Cosmas, Mugisha Collins, Nsajja Pius and Bulega Immaculate Fortunate all from the Department of Journalism and Communication and Tumusiime Ryan, a law student who is assisting the team on intellectual property rights.
