Uganda Cranes player, William Kizito Luwagga has linked up with rest of the team for training as they prepare for the Saturday match against Taifa Stars of Tanzania. He joined his international team mates that started training last week at the Startimes Stadium Lugogo.

The team has however shifted training to Mandela National Stadium, Namboole where national Cranes’ head coach Sebastian Desabre has doubled training sessions.

Kizito Luwagga, the former Vipers midfield engine was among the last players to turn up for the international duty as Sebastian Desabre’s men build up towards the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Tanzania on Saturday, 8th September.

With the Mamelodi Sundowns stopper, Dennis Onyango and SV Reid goal machine Lubega Edrisa already with the team, this makes it full house and boosts the team’s morale to face the Taifa Stars.

Meanwhile, many Uganda Cranes fans have hope of their team going back to AFCON a second consecutive time. “I think our boys are ready to face Tanzania and I believe we are going to win that match,” said Katumba Hussein.

“I have a lot of hope that we can even top our group because we are almost the best in this group,” said Musa Kayode, another Cranes fan.

Uganda leads Group L with three points after an away win against Cape Verde and need to beat Tanzania before facing Lesotho on 10th October ,2018.  Tanzania is third after a home draw against Lesotho. The group winner and runner up will automatically qualify for the 2019 AFCON.
