Students at Makerere University are still in shock after getting news that their very own Joanita Nakalembe has passed on, shortly after doing one of her end of semester exams.
Nakalembe, who was a second year Education student, was a resident of Garden Courts hostel in Kikoni, Makerere. According to her course mates and close friends, the deceased complained about feeling unwell after a
Pyscology exam that was done on Tuesday June 6, in the evening.
It's after this situation, the friends added, that she started vomiting and was rushed to the university hospital where she started bleeding from the mouth. When her situation worsened arrangements were made to rush her to Kiruddu hospital, but she couldn't make it as she breathed her last while still on the way.
Journalism at Mak could not independently verify the cause of Nakalemba's death, but we shall keep you updated about what exactly was the cause.
Also the university management has not yet given any communication about the mysterious death.
However, many students described the deceased as someone who looked healthy and was very friendly and loving.
"No better words to express what I feel now. She was the only science students that our tutorial group 6 worked with in foundations especially curriculum development and sociology. Rest in peace Joan, we shall miss you," eulogised one students who preferred to be identified as Mwalimu Julius.
May Nakalembe'-6s soul rest in eternal peace.
