The love for something can sometimes be used as an inspiration to business. Nansamba Suzan had a strong love for flowers, during her teenage age, and this has now been turned into a real business for her.

Being attracted by the beauty of flowers, Nansamba started a flower garden in 2013 during her O-level studies. Her flower garden was located at the roadside and attracted people who advised Nansamba to improve her business, and she started a nursery bed.

"In 2015, I started growing flowers for commercial purposes. When I collected enough capital, I started a nursery bed for pine trees, eucalyptus and fruit trees like mangoes, oranges and avocado," she explains.

The business has since grown, and sponsored her studies at YMCA and still runs their home.

Nansamba's mother, Namugerwa Jackline attests to the fact that her daughter helps the home financially. “My daughter helps us a lot. Her business has been a great relief to me; she contributes to home bills and this makes me proud as a mother," Namugerwa told journalism@mak.

Nansamba told journalism@mak that this business has been part of her and she has plans of expanding it further. She now gets big orders, and the space where she is working is becoming smaller.

Nansamba advises girls to be creative and make themselves useful, instead of involving in risky behavior to get free things.
