After several months of being bed-ridden with a fractured leg, Gab Kyomuhendo a Journalism and Communication student from Uganda Christian University (UCU) is now able to walk again and make a public appearance.

Kyomuhendo, who was riding on a motorcycle with his friend, Mujuni, met the bad omen along the Fort Port - Bundibugyo road, where they were knocked by a speeding Canter. Mujuni died on spot, while for him he was rushed to Buhinga Regional Referral hospital where he received medication.

In an interview with Journalism@Mak, Kyomuhendo said life after the accident was not worth a living given the severe pain.
"My leg was operated, metals fixed... but now I can slowly walk," he said.

Kyomuhendo, who was then working on 93.0 UBC radio in Bundibugyo,  had since stopped attending lectures as he couldn't make it to Campus for a whole semester.

Lickily, he is now back to work on his radio programs like Current Affairs on Namance- based Juice FM, and news anchoring on UBC and very grateful to the Almighty God, family and friends.

"I want to thank all those who stood with me, and prayed for me. I'm now back on air waves and, I will be very well soon. A big thank you to all those who have been on my side," he appreciated.
