Journalism@Mak editors embark on multimedia training

A group of students, selected from the Department of Journalism and Communication to manage the Journalism@Mak website are undertaking a one week multimedia training.

The training that kicked off on Monday September 29, will equip students with skills in website management, writing for online media as well as publishing for online media.

The training is being conducted by Gerald Businge, a digital journalism trainer and managing director of Ultimate media Consultancy.

Speaking to the Editorial team, Businge said that the training will enable the students produce standard and relevant multimedia content for the students’ website

 “Students will be able write and edit good online stories and produce multimedia content-combining text, audio, video, maps and graphics in a news story,” said Mr. Businge
