Namuwaya Wins 4th Cooking Competition

Namuwaya Zainab has won the 4th Food Cooking Competitions at Wandegeya market, organized by Kapa Oil Refineries Limited. Namuwaya, the judges said cooked a good meal of boiled chicken and mashed matooke.

Namuwaya thanked God for the achievement. "This is my second time to participate in this competition, but I didn't expect to be the winner. First of all, I never went to school for catering and yet I was competing with diploma holders in catering,” she added.

Namuwaya says that she invested in this competition only Shs 50,000 but managed to win herself a 32-inch flat screen TV, three T-shirts and one apron.

"I am so happy that I put in less but I have managed to get what I never expected. I thank Kapa Oil Refineries Limited and Vision Group for organizing these competitions," said Namuwaya.

They were over ten competitors who participated in this competition and only the first three people were given prizes.

The Sales Manager of Kapa Oil, Kaggwa Francis, the company organizes such competitions to give back to its customers and to promote its products in the community.

"As a company, we decided to organize competitions of this kind to give back to our customers and to promote our products in the process," Kaggwa told journalism@mak.
