Students of Music, Dance and Drama on Thursday performed to live band during their famous Thursday Jam Session.

Thursday Jam Session happens every Thursday of the week at the School of Performing Arts quadrangle. During this session, MDD students do practical performances in singing, playing instruments and stage acting.

In the Thursday session, students performed songs ranging from secular to gospel. Among the movers of the event were Bbosa Donato, Mirembe Immy and Andrew Baguma who performed a nice love song, “Tonkabyanga nyabo.”

The event was made more colorful by the comic master of ceremony, MC Ben Banks who is a third year MDD student and host of the Little Ones Show on HTT.

The MDD students say the session is an integral part of their course. Lucky Tuheise, a second year MDD student says she has built stage confidence through the Thursday Jam Session. Bbosa Donato, a singer says the session has created opportunities for him.

Akampurira Derrick, a Bachelor of Social Sciences student said he was impressed with the young talent natured at the MDD department. “I can’t believe these guys can perform to live band,” Akampurira added.
