The long awaited match between fourth year journalism and communication students versus third year students of Social sciences finally happened yesterday, the 19th of April at the Makerere University main playground.

The match kicked off at 3:30pm despite the fact that 1:30pm was the initial starting time.

Social scientists started off with much energy as Vicent Semugga scored two goals while journalists fell flat instead of giving passes, a thing they blamed on the pitch as they grappled about it being slippery and poorly leveled.

However this changed during the second half of the game when journalists started attacking and defending thus scoring two goals by Shiru. The journalism team also received a penalty which Bagzy shot straight in the net.

Social scientist Bright rejected the penalty but the referee, Sheldon Tumwine accepted the goal and ended the match instantly for fear of further scuffles, making journalists victors of the game.
