Court Adjourns Brian Isiko’s Love Case

Buganda Road Court on Friday adjourned the hearing of a case in which a 25-year old Brian Isiko is accused of offensive communication to the Kabarole Woman Member of Parliament, Sylvia Rwabwoogo.

Isiko, a student of YMCA-Jinja branch, came to court ready to hear Rwabwoogo who accused him, telling the court how his love messages offended her but magistrate Ketty Joan Acaa deferred the hearing to 23rd of November 2018.

Rwabwoogo, while appearing before the court was given company by women activists from FIDA (U) and other Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)

Magistrate Acaa told Isiko and Rwabwoogo to wait till 23rd November when the magistrate in charge of the case, Stella Amabirisi will be back from a conference in USA.

It is alleged that Isiko between November, 2017 and June, 2018 sent love messages that were vulgar and shameful to the MP, whose telephone contact he downloaded from the Parliamentary website which he denies.

Isiko is charged with cyber harassment and offensive communication.
