Students at the School of Social Sciences, Makerere University today morning went on strike to express concerns over missing marks and delayed results.

Students say that their results have neither been displayed online nor on notice boards. Most of these concerned students are in their last semester at the university.

The course units for which they have not received their results include; Sociological Perspective, Comparative Politics and Development Administration and Comparative Public Administration.

Wasswa Hassan, the president of the School of Social Sciences says the school has the biggest number of students and getting back their results has always been a big struggle, provoking students to strikes most times.

Even when students are forced to pay their tuition in a specified time, the university does not deliver the services for which we pay for,” the vice president of the School Evelyn Tukamushaba commented

Despite the dismissal of morning strike, students have vowed to continue striking until they get their results.
