Banned Players Cost Police FC League Opener

Gaps were visible as Police FC missed the services of its banned players in their 2:1 loss to BULv FC on Saturday.

Abdallah Mubiru's side suffered a hurting home defeat against in front of their fans in their new home, Star Times Stadium, Lugogo.

The Cops missed a couple of players that included Norman Ojik, Arafat Galiwango, Johnson Odong and Ruben Kimera due to lack of Fufa licences. These left a vacuum in different departments of the team that climaxed into a home loss.

Although Mubiru's side dominated the both halves of the game, it lacked experience showed by missing a couple of chances and failure to contain the Jinja based club attackers.

Villa Oromocha and Timothy Owori scored the two goals for the visitors that decided the winners of the day. Ronald Nyanzi’s consolation wasn't enough to secure a point for the cops.

Meanwhile different fans have shared their views on the federation’s decision to stop Police’s players from playing against BUL, some have blamed the federation while others have blamed the club itself.

Njego Faisal, a Police FC’s fan blames the FUFA for being so harsh against the club. “The federation is so harsh to the clubs, it’s accountable for our loss today," he said.
Kabogoza Denis a fan of Vipers SC blames Police FC’s board for the denial of players. “The executive board of the club would have felt with this just before the start of the season”. He said.
Police will play it’s second game of the season know Wednesday 03, October, 2018 against the newly promoted Paidha Black Angels FC at the Green Light Stadium, Arua.
