Uganda Cranes Players Discharged After Nasty Accident

Uganda Cranes players that sustained injuries after the team bus was involved in an accident on Tuesday have been discharged from hospital.
“All players are better off now including myself after that fatal accident, we visited Nakasero hospital for treatment and all this was catered for by state house,” narrated Ahmed Hussein the FUFA Spoke Person at the weekly FUFA press briefing on Wednesday.
5 people died and several others injured after the bus collided with an omnibus No. UAT 573M at Jami, Kamonkoli-Budaka District.
Initial reports indicated that eight people who were in a taxi that the bus rammed into were dead, however only 5 have been accounted for.
According to the New Vision the deceased were identified as Samuel Kakungulu the driver of the ill-fated taxi, Zahab Nakisiyu, 20, resident of Mbale, Charles Muhima, 30, and Scovia Nakamwa both from Kibuku district who died at the scene and a one year old child who died in Mbale Hospital. A 7-year old juvenile whose identities are yet to be established also perished in the grisly accident that sent shockwaves throughout the nation.
The Uganda cranes team together with some FUFA officials was coming from Soroti after a meeting with President Yoweri Museveni upon their CECAFA success.

It is understood that government will compensate the families to the deceased and FUFA standing with the families to the deceased announced that a minute of silence will be observed before all the games of the Azam Uganda Premier league kick off on Friday 12thDecember 2015.
