The Member of Parliament for Kyadondo East, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu popularly known as Bobi Wine has called upon all his fans across the country to go and register for National IDs as they prepare for the 2021 general elections.

According to him, this is the only way they can have organized elections by preparing early enough to avoid panic situations at the last minute.

"Let us go and get National IDs and prepare early enough to remove this cowboy from the presidential seat," he urged his followers.

He said this in an interview with Beat FM in the morning talk show where he was invited as a guest. He added that the incidents that happened to him in Arua have made him stronger, although he is still suffering with injuries.

"I am still undergoing therapy and I assure you that by the time of the concert I will be good," he assured his supporters.

Kyagulanyi however called upon his followers to stay calm and be law abiding because the government has always wanted to treat them as criminals for fighting for their rights.

Sam Bbosa from Kawempe asked the MP whether he is ready to stand for presidency in the coming elections but Kyagulanyi declined to give a straight answer, saying that what matters is the voice of the many and not him becoming president.

Uganda will have the next general elections to fill presidential and parliamentary seats in 2021 when the five years of the incumbent president expire. Parliament however voted to extend the term of president by two years, but this is being contested in court.
