I AM NOT BACKING OFF – SUSPENDED BWAMBALE

 

The suspended Editor of the Makererean says he will continue using his voice to fight for the rights of oppressed students.

 

The suspended student of Bachelor of Journalism and Communication, who was also Editor of the Makererean, Frank Bwambale says he will keep fighting against university policies that oppress students.

 

RE-OPENING OF MAKERERE MAIN GATE TO DELAY

 

The re-opening of Makerere University main gate will delay, because of an extension in the construction period. The works that were originally supposed to end in September will now be end in October 15th, before the full re-opening.

 

The Excel Construction Company is doing the work, and its Projects Manager, Owen Oyesigye confirms that they faced challenges that delayed works.

 

INCREASING CRIME WORRIES MAKERERE POLICE

 

The increasing crimes at Makerere University is worrying police officials within the university. Makerere Police Station recorded 82 cases in just July and August, 2018, an average of over 40 crimes a month.

Key crimes recorded include theft of laptops and phones, loss of identity cards usually within student’s halls of residence, the library and other unsafe places.
