High court of Uganda has this afternoon ruled that Gen David Tinyefuza also known as Sejusa is no longer a serving army officer of UPDF.

While giving her ruling, justice Margeret Oumo Oguli said that Sejusa, like any other army officer, is entitled to "constructive discharge" from the army since he no
longer receives a salary and other benefits and has also not been deployed by the UPDF for one and a half years now.

The bodies of three Ugandan policemen killed
on Lake Albert along the Democratic Republic of
Congo (DRC) border over the weekend have
been handed over to Ugandan authorities in
West Nile yesterday afternoon.

Initial reports indicated that four police officers
had been killed. However, it was later confirmed
that only three officers were killed.

Leaders of Uganda's strongest opposition political party, Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), have embarked on mobilising supporters to demand for immediate unconditional release of Besigye.

Besigye, according to High Court, was sent to Luzira maximum prison after he allegedly swon in himself as Uganda president, and he is expected back to court on June 1.

A Woman has sued the Special Forces Command (SFC) boss, Gen Muhoozi Keinerugaba, who is also a son to Museveni, over the disappearance of her husband.

Margaret Nabagesera told high court's justice Yasin Nyanzi that SFC arrested her soldier-husband, Achilles Mukalazi, after he tried to abandon his army job for greener pasture with the United Nations (UN).

Makerere University has “with immediate effect pending investigations” suspended Dr Stella Nyanzi a research fellow at the Makerere Institute of Social Research (MISR) over a nude protest she staged on Monday.

Dr Stella Nyanzi on Monday April 18 undressed to the nicker at the Makerere Institute of Social Research (MISR), protesting being locked out of her office.

Dr Nyanzi who is a staff member at MISR was accused by the institute’s director, Prof Mahmood Mamdani of not teaching PhD students, a job, he said, she accepted in 2012.

However, Dr Nyanzi said that in the contract she signed with the University, teaching was not part of it.
