Profam is offering free installation of the Intra Utrine Contraceptive Device (IUD) and other family planning methods to Makerere students during the health week that started Tuesday, 16^th October 2018.

Profam is a family planning organization that deals with various ways of helping people to have planned births through methods like the coil (IUD), condom use, implants, among others.

Makerere University female students are excited about a planned offer of free sanitary pads by the 84^th Guild. A statement by the guild health minister, Reagan Emoru announced that the guild will distribute free pads to every female student, staff and the neighbouring community.

The students journalism@mak talked to say this is a great move and will help many who cannot afford these pads.

At least 300 people have received various free medical services in a medical camp by St Augustine chaplaincy, Makerere University. The services offered during the medical camp include HIV testing and counseling, blood donation, hepatitis B testing and vaccination, TB and sickle cell screening, among others.
