The Member of Parliament for Kyadondo East, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu popularly known as Bobi Wine has called upon all his fans across the country to go and register for National IDs as they prepare for the 2021 general elections.

According to him, this is the only way they can have organized elections by preparing early enough to avoid panic situations at the last minute.

The New Formation led by Rtd Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu targets to recruit 20,000 members by Christmas of this year. This according to a top mobilizer of the group, Alice Alaso.

Alaso, also a former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Secretary General, made the remarks during a meeting held at Sharing Hall, Nsambya in Kampala.

She said the promoters' meeting is to allow them know who is committed to the New Formation political agenda.

The increased insecurity in Ssendawula Zone in Lungujja is worrying residents in the area, to the extent that they spend sleepless nights for fear of losing their lives and property. The residents expressed their concern during a security meeting with police in the area.

OC Lungujja Police, Moses Byaruhanga confirmed that insecurity is on the rise in the area, with almost ten reported cases of theft, burglary and assault daily.
