Buganda Road Chief Magistrate’s Court has heard that the police file for fraud case of the city tycoon, Shukla Babubhai Mukesh, 56, is missing.

Babubhai, the executive director of Shumuk Aluminium Industries Limited is charged with 13 counts of forgery, uttering false documents and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Some Ugandan artistes have produced a tribute song about the Lake Victoria boat accident on Saturday that has so far claimed 32 lives with many victims still missing.

Up to 100 people, some sources put the number at 150, were aboard a private boat when it capsized on the evening of November 24 at about 7pm. The boat was carrying revelers from KK Beach in Ggaba, Kampala to Mutima Beach in Mpatta Sub County, Mukono district when it capsized. The incident happened a short distance from the shore off Mutima Mutola Island.

BUSIIKA- In what appears to be a case of misjudgment, a rally driver in Busika, off Gayaza Road, on Sunday drove into a crowd, killing one person and injuring nine others.

A police statement indicates that the rally driver was trying to save the life of mobile phone thief who was being chased, suddenly crossed the road forcing the driver to brake suddenly but because he was at high speed, the car rammed into fans.
