“Politicians have been advised to avoid misusing power and using excessive force against their opponents”

KAMPALA – Sheikh Suleiman Kakeeto the Tablighi leader in the country has echoed security forces to value people’s lives and shun excessive use of force when handling protestors.

Speaking during Eid Al-Adha prayers at Clock Tower in Kampala, Sheikh Kakeeto further advised political leaders to stop misusing power saying “you found the country here and you will leave it here.”

"Be careful with the term, 'politics is a dirty game’, get another term that will help you come to an agreement," Sheikh Kakeeto said adding that there is always a winner and loser in every game.
Quoting the Islamic faith, Umar Yawe, who also attended prayers at Clock Tower said that the leaders are not supposed to engage in acts that are aimed at harming others.

“Like the sheikh has said in the sermon, people's lives should be valued, I think people in power should value others,” he said.
This follows the disturbing pictures that made rounds on social depicting tortured Members of Parliament key among others Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine and Mityana Municipality MP Francis Zaake that were allegedly tortured at the hands of security forces.

The duo among others MPs were violently arrested after chaos rocked Arua Town, leaving at least one person shot dead as political big wings campaigned for their party candidates.
"Political leaders should handle issues wisely and avoid putting the State at stake" said Fadhilah Mutoni, another pilgrim warned.
