Dr Nyanzi Faces Social Media Clumpdown, Strips Naked Over Office

 

The battle between Dr Stella Nyanzi and her boss Prof Mahmood Mamdani at Makerere Institute of Social Research (MISR) has intensified, landing the former into social media clampdown.

Dr Nyanzi, who is known to be a social media guru, was fired from her office by her boss, Prof Mamdan, after she refused to take part in a PhD research program at the institute.  Prof Mamdani is the executive director of MISR.

Over Depending On Medicine Is Unhealthy – DR Mukundane

 

 

In an on-going health expo by Medical Missionary Movement Uganda (MMMU) at Makerere University, a health expert has expressed concern over people’s reliance on manufactured drugs, saying it’s a healthy threat.

Dr. Moses Mukundane, a doctor working with MMMU said that some chemicals used in drugs can damage some body parts, adding that the better way to live a healthy life is by using natural food stuffs and adopting health habits that can keep the body functioning normally.

Makerere Lecturers Give Ultimatum Over Arrears As Tuition Policy Gets Revoked

 

Makerere lecturers under their umbrella Makerere University Academic Staff Members Association (MUASA) have given an ultimatum of up to Friday to have their salary incentive arrears of Shs 12.5 billion cleared or they lay down their tools.

Speaking to Journalists on Monday, April 11, Muhammad Kiggundu, the chairman of the association said that the university should stop relying on tuition from students, and find other means of paying their incentive arrears that have not been cleared for the past five months.
