The embattled Makerere senate staff members Dr Edward Kisuuze who was pictured molesting a female student has defended himself saying the photo was digitally retouched and he isn't the one in action.

According to a conversation that he had with Alexander Dedan Yatesa, a first year Veterenary Medicine student who shared a cell with him at Wandegeya police station, Kisuuze revealed that the photo which went viral on social media was taken in another person`s office and then photoshopped to frame him but he is innocent.

“He said that the girl took the photos from someone`s office at College Of Computing andInformation Sciences (Cocis) yet he does not belong there,' Yatesa told Journalism@Mak

Yatesa spent a night at Wandegeya police station with Kisuuze after being arrested by police during yesterday`s strike but he was later released.

Following the scandal, the office of the university vice chancellor wrote a letter notifying Dr Kisuze of suspension from university service on half pay with immediate effect to allow a smooth investigation into the matter.

For now, Kisuze is still being held at Wandegeya police station as he awaits his trial.
