Students at Bishop Barham University College, Kabale,  were on Tuesday left in shock after their very own Obed Muhoozi slit his throat open over a girlfriend.

The 21-year-old Muhoozi , who is a first-year student  pursuing a degree in Social Work and Social Administration,  committed the horrible act on International Women’s day from his room at Top view hostel, after he learnt that his most treasured girlfriend, Nahabwe, who had promised to spend the day with him, was with another man.

Efforts to reach the Dean of students, Godwin kizza, for a comment were futile, as he could not answer our phone calls.

According to close friends from the University, Muhoozi had agreed with his girlfriend, Nahabwe, to meet that day, but things turned wrong when he called Nahabwe’s phone and it was picked by another man. It was at the very moment, at about 4:00 p.m that Muhoozi picked the sharpest knife and cut open his throat. After this incident, he over bled, forcing his friends to take him to Rugarama hospital, where he is currently battling for his life.

The girlfriend is still at large as police goes on with investigations.
