Supreme mufti declares next Juma prayer for the country, Muslims

 

Old Kampala- The supreme Mufti of Uganda Sheik Shaban Ramadan Mubajje has urged all Imams mosques to mobilise all Muslims to attend the next Juma prayers as it will be used to pray for the themselves and the country at large.

Sheik Mubajje said they will also pray the slain Buyende district Police Commander ASP Muhammad Kirumira who life was ended in cold blood on Saturday evening near his home in Bulenga in the outskirts of capital Kampala.

SEWAGE FROM KAWEMPE HOSPITAL THREATENS RESIDENTS

Residents in Kawempe are threatened by the continuous sewage overflow from Kawempe Referral Hospital to their places of work and residence, exposing them to high risks of acquiring diseases.

For over three months, sewage overflows to the drainage channels later making its way to residents’ homes, shops and churches. Bithum Jeremy, a resident of Kawempe accuses the hospital of mismanaging sewage and calls for immediate intervention to stop further problems.
