Sunglasses Could Damage Your Eyes

 

Frequent wearing of sunglasses may be fashionable but an expert has warned that it could damage your eyesight.

It is not uncommon to see people wearing dark glasses to protect their eyes, especially during a hot day. But Nuptal Sarmah, an ophthalmologist from ASG Eye Hospital in Nakasero, Kampala, says some of the sunglasses damage human eyes since they expose those wearing them to ultra-violet rays causing muscular degeneration and other conditions which affect vision.

New Formation Promoters Discuss Party Constitution

Promoters of the New Formation, a political grouping headed by retired Major General Mugisha Muntu, today gathered at Nsambya Sharing Hall in Kampala as part of the process to register a political party.

Among the items they are handling in the meeting is the draft party constitution.

Maj.Gen Muntu, a former president of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party, announced recently that he was leaving FDC and forming a new party. He told today’s meeting that the new party will be guided by principles, not personalities.
