UACE Examinations Start

 

 

99,672 S.6 candidates have started their Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examination, an exercise that will continue till early December. Of these, 53,359 are males while 41,313 are females.

The examinations started Monday 12th November, 2018, with Mathematics and History across the country’s 2,217 centers.

Life After Losing Hearing Sense, Okwadi’s Story

 

Born hearing on 4th October 1981 in Ngora district to Mr. Opit Gabriel and Mrs. Akiteng Kevin, Okwadi Michael lost his hearing sense at the age of eight through unclear circumstances.

 

“It was in the evening around 5pm when I suddenly felt so cold and decided to go and sleep. On waking up the following morning, my sense of hearing was gone,” Okwadi recalls.

 

Uganda Trade Portal Excites Traders

 

The launch of the Uganda trade portal, an online and a one stop shop offering export, import and transit information has left traders excited. The traders say the portal will improve business by removing bureaucracy and reducing time spent in doing business.

The portal, which was launched by the trade minister Amelia Kyambade, will help interested traders on information concerning the procedures, documentation fees, and charges for exportation, importation and transit of goods.
