MAKERERE TURNS OUT TO BE A FASHION GROUND

 

Students at Makerere University have turned fashion into a competition. Most students are seen dressed up in designer clothing, from Gucci to Channel, Versace to Armani.

This prompts students to actively compete in the field of fashion giving a fertile ground for nurturing future Ugandan fashion designers.

Students Asked to Pay for Stolen Phones

 

 

KAMPALA - The In-charge of criminal investigations department (CID) at Makerere Police Station has said that a student whose phone gets stolen must again pay Shs 50,000 to get helped by the police.

Detective ASP Jackson Amali told our reporter that police has no money to invest in investigations that require tracking of stolen phones, therefore any student whose phone gets stolen must also pay to facilitate police track down the thief.

ESTATES OFFICIAL EXPLAINS DELAYED RENOVATION IN CHUSS BUILDING

 

The Makerere University engineer supervising the renovation works in the CHUSS building says the works delayed and went into the semester because the contract took a lot of time in Solicitor General’s office. Eng Ezra Sekadde reveals that the university planned to conduct the renovations during the holidays, but this was not possible.
