The Bank Of Uganda has made changes on the features that will be appearing on all the bank notes printed in the year 2017.

According to a press release by the bank, the notes will now bare the signature of the current Bank Secretary, Mrs Susan Kanyemibwa alongside that of the Governor,  Prof Tumusiime Mutebile.

The secretary's signature is found at the bottom right of the note, just next to the Bank's logo. However, all notes bearing the year the signature of the bank's former secretary George Nyeko and printed in earlier years, Mutebile confirmed, will remain legal.
