Uganda Premier League Champions KCCA FC has finally found their winning ways beating Onduparaka FC 4-0 in a match played at Star Times Stadium in Kampala on Friday.

A Mike Mutyaba hat-trick and another effort from Sadat Anaku sealed the three crucial points for KCCA on home turf.

The defending champions entered this match with a record of failing to win in their last five outings.  These uneventful campaign include a 1-1 draw against Patro de Lwanda from Angola which eliminated KCCA from the CAF Champions League to CAF Confederation Cup.

But at Star Times on Friday, the host team put the ball behind the opponent’s net through striker Anaku in the 33rd minute of the game. Mutyaba ran riot in the second half, finding the net three times in 13 minutes. His strikes came in the 63rd, 68th and 76th minutes respectively.

Mutyaba, one of the most experienced strikers at KCCA FC said: “Onduparaka is and has always been a nice team but we organized our selves very well which helped us to win the match. We are now back and we are going to defend the trophy that we won."

The supporters who entered this match saying it was Coach Mike Mutebi who had brought problems to their team due to the absolute powers he has on the team, were all praises at the end of the 90 minutes.  They however, had a word for the Mutebi.

“The reason why our team is suffering is because of the coach Mike Mutebi who has excessive powers over team that he makes mistakes and no one to blame him. Mike and the management should know that as supporters we want the team to win more trophies,” said Lugolobi Ibrahim.

Kamya Joseph, another KCCA supporter, said: “I love my team and I pray for it to win the other matches so that SC Villa and SC Vipers don't give us a big point difference.”

Now Bull FC tops the table with 19 points followed by SC Villa with 15 points.
