Journalism Students Raise Over One Million Shillings in "LegacyEsther" Campaign

Makerere University journalism student leaders have solicited over UGX one million from staff and colleagues meant to help in the tiling and finishing of the late Esther’s grave. The remarks were made by the Finance Minister Makerere University Journalism and Communication Association (MUJCA), Lyn Tukei during an extra ordinary meeting.

Makerere Shines At the Inter Media Challenge Awards 2015

This year’s inter- institutional media (IMC) competitions came to an end on Friday night at Serena hotel-Victoria hall Kampala in a red carpet event dubbed “the black tie event” with Makerere University Journalism students scooping 10 awards.

The awards night begun at 7pm and ended by midnight, the event was majorly preordained for media students from all universities/ institutions and mainstream journalists who participated and were nominated respectively.

King Oyo visits Makerere, Creates Alliance

The famous king of Tooro his Majesty 'Rukira Basaija' Dr. Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, visited Makerere, the oldest and most prominent university in Africa on Friday.

 His majesty King oyo was invited by the Makerere University Tooro Students Association (MUTOSA) in partnership with other students from Tooro in universities around Kampala. Oyo arrived at the University at around 3:00 p.m, flanked by princess Bagaya, the Prime minister among other officials from the kingdom.
