Save for the religious differences and contradicting beliefs, a section of Muslims used this year's Eid al Adhuha to show care and love to some Christians.

Jimmy Tumwesige, a resident of Zana, couldn’t hide his happiness as his Muslim neighbors invited him for a meal together, in addition to giving him four kilograms of meat. He says that the gesture has changed his negative perception and attitude about Muslims. He concluded that Muslims are loving, caring and good people who like sharing with neighbors contrary to his negative beliefs about them before.

Asuman Kiyemba, a Sheikh at Old Kampala Mosque was pleased to have used the celebration to share with non-Muslims. He says Eid al Adhuha is a four day Islamic festival that is held to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son.

Animals are sacrificed and the meat shared by the neighbors irrespective of their religion and tribe. And according to Kiyemba, the event signifies love, peace and unity.

Gerald Lukwago, one of the non-muslims invited by Kiyemba for a meal, says he was invited to the mosque for a meal and he could not turn it down. According to him, the sermon by the Mufti about peace was timely, since various parts of the country had been involved in chaos over the arrest and detention of the Members of Parliament like Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine.
