Kampala Capital City Authority coach, Mike Mutebi paid tribute to the club’s midfielder, Jackson Nunda after a 6-1 thrashing of the Ankole lads at the Startimes stadium, Lugogo on Sunday.

Mutebi singled out Nunda after the midfielder scored the last goal that sealed the Kasasiro Boys’ victory against Nyamityoboora.

The Kampala giants’ tactician however applauded the midfielder for his technical abilities on the ball. “I don’t think there is any other player in Uganda who is technically gifted as Jackson Nunda. He is one who can use the ball well. I think his return will solve my problem of holding midfielder,” Mutebi said.

The Lugogo giants were already on track for victory at Startimes Stadium, thanks to goals from Patrick Kaddu, Mike Mutyaba, Timothy Awany and Allan Okello before the left-footed midfielder added the sixth and secured the three points for the hosts and sent them to the top of the league table.

“It was a good game and all goals were good because they came out of good combination. The team played an entertaining game and I think that is the respect you can give to your opponents,” Mutebi told journalism@mak.

Meanwhile, veteran striker Mike Mutyaba also came from the bench and added two goals to the score sheet. The manager credited his experience in the team. “He is very good in the penalty area. you may not need him in other positions but near the box he is very dangerous; he can hold the ball and wait for his fellow players,” said the coach.

KCCA FC will visit Maroons FC at Luzira Prisons grounds in their next fixture on Saturday, while Nyamityoboora will host the struggling SC Villa at Mutesa ll Memorial Stadium, Wankulukuku on the same day.
