Vipers SC’s new boss Javier Martinez Espinoza has maintained his 100% record in the Startimes Uganda Premier League after his side defeated the newly promoted Nyamityoboora FC, 1-0.

The Mexican-born tactician registered a third win of the league in a row for his new club Vipers SC following his arrival at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Vipers’ goal machine Dan Serunkuuma fast put the hosts in the driving seat with a rebound from Uganda Cranes newly discovered talent Moses Waiswa’s shot that had been saved by the Nyamityoboora’s custodian.

Before the closure of half time, Nyamityoboora’s defence kept busy with chances created by the Venom’s playmaker Moses Waiswa and winger Dickson Seninde. They were however lucky to break at 1-0 down.

However, the second half did not not make any changes on the score sheet.

The win made Espinoza’s team to reclaim the Startimes Uganda Premier League table lead with nine points toppling KCCA FC that has seven points.

The Venoms will next visit SC Villa at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole on 24th October 2018 in matchday four while Nyamityoboora will host Mbarara City at Mutesa ll stadium, Wankulukuku on the same date.
