Ivan Kakembo, the newly appointed Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) FC Chief Administrative Officer says he is confident in his football expertise to bring change in the club.

“I am so confident because I come here with great expertise in football management, both locally and internationally which I believe will give us as a club an edge in Uganda football today,” Kakembo said as he took over office.

Kakembo was previously at SC Villa FC in a similar position working under Eng. Ben Misaga, and has replaced Edward Kulubya who departed duties to continue his studies in UK.

He signed a one year contract with the club and was delighted to get the job and promised to turn the club into a bigger football brand.

“The club and the board have been convinced that Ivan is the right man for the job and I promise to support him as the CEO,” said Kizza James, the club Chairman.

The club also signed new players early this year that have got skills and qualities to bring impact at the club. Among them are Herman Wasswa from Lusaka Dynamos and Derrick Ocen, among others.

URA FC has gone four matches unbeaten in the Ugandan Premier League 2018/19 enjoying their fourth position on the table, after winning two and drawing two matches.
