BREAKING: Dr Stella Nyanzi Suspended From Makerere

Makerere University has “with immediate effect pending investigations” suspended Dr Stella Nyanzi a research fellow at the Makerere Institute of Social Research (MISR) over a nude protest she staged on Monday.

According to a statement by the appointments board which has issued the suspension, the act by Dr Nyanzi was unfortunate. Nyanzi stripped to the nicker while protesting what she calls the ‘dictatorship’ of the director of MISR, Prof Mahmood Mamdani who is her boss. She accuses him of locking her of her office for three days.

The 10 Million Was for NRM Mobilisation, Not For GAMUSA- Mwesiga

Milton Mwesiga, the Makerere university student implicated in the GAMUSA funds fraud has defied the allegation that the 10 million donated was for ensuring welfare of the students in the association, saying that it was for mobolising NRM supporters.

The money was donated by the first lady on December 8 last year, on a day the Greater Ankole Students’ Association (GAMUSA) was launched. The Chancellor Prof Ezra Suruma received the money from the first lady and handed it over to Mwesiga, the GAMUSA president.

Shocking: Makerere Students perform 'Witchcraft' While Protesting

Makerere Univerisity students on the program of Ethics and Human rights have today morning taken demonstrating a notch higher by performing a ritual in front of the  main building, protesting the scrapping off of their course.

The angry students, who belong to the school  of Liberal and Performing Arts, were led by their GRC, Paul Sanya, who said they have used all the other means and have not yielded results for fthem. They added that they petitioned the senate last week on Friday, but did not get any reply.
