Makerere Guild Boss Speaks Out On Minister's Resignation

Makerere University guild president Roy Ssembogga, has today morning said the news of Yosam Bagumirabingi's resignation as minister of Research and Computer Technology is still rumours to him.

" As the person in charge of appointments and reshuffles, I haven't been served with a copy of the resignation." Ssemboga said.

He further explained that if at all he is served with this letter, he will announce the position of his government on this.

" I will cross the bridge when I reach there, he added.

Miss Tourism Pageant:  West Nile's Odongkara Crowned Winner

This highly anticipated pageant of Miss Tourism Uganda 2016 ended with minister for Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities,  Maria Mutagamba crowning Eildad Epiaka Odongkara from West Nile.

In an event that was held from Serena Hotel Kampala yesterday under the theme: "Let The Pearl Shine", Odongkara also won other titles like Miss Popularity and Miss Best National Costume.

I'm Not A Terrorist - Makerere Tear Gas Maker Cries Out

Samuel Mugarura, a fourth year Chemistry student at Makerere who made tear gas and demonstrated how it works on Sunday has cried out for recognition as a law abiding Ugandan and not a terrorist.

“I am a student and a proud citizen who just made his imaginations real, so let no one make this political... I am simply a mukiga who hails from Kigezi though my family migrated to Kiruhura” he revealed.
