Optimism As Book Detailing Role Of Information In Health Gets Launched

A book titled: “Informed and Healthy; The Theoretical And Applied Perspectives On The Value Of Information On Health Care” that was launched at Makerere University yesterday has left many scholars and health experts optimistic that the health sector may improve on service delivery.

Authored by renowned Makerere Professor, Maria Musoke, the book gives details of how information is important in health care provision and how this can be practically done to improve the lives of Ugandans.

NGO Recommends Closure Of Private Schools Providing USE


A report produced by Initiative for Social and Economic Rights (ISER), an NGO, has revealed that Public Private Partnership (PPP) schools in the country are providing poor quality education services and should be phased out.

Introduced in 2007 under the Universal Secondary Education (USE) scheme, PPP schools' initiative was meant to effectively absorb the increasing number of students completing primary schools as a result of the country's 1997 Universal Primary Education policy (UPE), and failing to go for secondary education.
