To all Journalism and Communication students,

RE: Journalism@mak

Hullo Colleagues, warm greetings from the Journalism@mak site.

Journalism@mak, an online publication for students of Journalism and Communication invites applications for those interested in taking up editorial responsibilities. The roles include; deputy editor, features editor and photo editor.

Also, applications from those interested in taking up roles as section editors are welcome. The sections include but are not limited to the following; current affairs, entertainment, commentary, education, politics, business, health, fashion, science and technology and special investigations.
Attach samples of your stories and/or articles, published or unpublished that are related to the field you are applying for. You can also provide links for your online pieces if any. Send all these to journalism.mak@gmail.com.

Please note that these roles are voluntary.

Secondly, the site would like to thank all those that have been sending in their stories and articles. We encourage them to continue doing so. The following names merit mention; Moses Kyeyune, Jane Justine Mirembe, Samson Okwakol, Joyce Namitala, Franko Olong, Davidson Ndyabahika, Angella Tusiime, Eronie Kamukama, Clare Muhindo, Alliance Bora, Eric Kyama, Harrison Okethcwinyu, Abraham Kizza, Leonard Twinomugisha and, Betty Amamukirori, Grace Amme and Fosca Tumushabe. We are sure you have learnt from us just like we have learnt from you.

Special thanks also go to all those students and lecturers who have been giving us feedback, encouragement and counsel. Please, keep them coming through.

Lastly, we encourage ALL JOURNALISM AND COMMUNICATION STUDENTS to get involved in making this site better by sending in stories, articles and photos. We shall soon begin inviting audios and videos to back up stories.

Together, let’s improve our journalistic skills by learning from one another.
