Makerere’s Prof Abbas Kiyimba Seeks Shs 100m For Treatment

Makerere University literature professor, Abbas Kiyimba needs more than Shs 100m for further
treatment in South Africa where he has been hospitalized for the last three months.

Prof Kiyimba, also the deputy principal in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, was referred abroad by doctors at Mulago hospital after they failed to cure his condition medically,
known as gastro varices.

Stella Nyanzi Now Employed In South Africa

The embattled research fellow who was working at Makerere Institute of Social Research (MISR) Dr Stella Nyanzi has landed on a new job in South Africa.

Nyanzi, who was found guilty of misconduct at MISR after she stripped naked to reclaim her office, something that saw her make headlines for weeks in Ugandan media, told journalism.mak.ac.ug in a Facebook message that she doubts whether she will ever return to Makerere, now that she has landed on greener pastures.

Kyambogo University In Vice Chancellor Crisis
