Water crisis hits Mary Stuart Hall, toilets left un-flushed

 

MAKERERE- Water crisis has hit Makerere University’s magnificent girls’ hall Mary Stuart, causing jamming sanitation also risking residents’ health situation.  

When Journalism@mak visited the hall on Friday, our reporter found a deteriorated health situation as toilets are left unflushed causing them to stink.  

These constructions are currently taking place between Lumumba and Mary Stuart halls.

Thief Survives Being Lynched By Makerere Students

A thief caught stealing car parts at Makerere Univeristy today afternoon survived being beaten to death by angry students.

A one Raymond Makumbi,  who is a resident of Bakuli, Kampala was arrested after Grace Nankya rose an alarm to students that Makumbi,  who was fleeing from the car park, was a thief.

The incident took place at Lincoln Flats opposite College Of Computing and Information Sciences.

Students, who were coming from CoCIS, swung into action and engulfed Makumbi who was running Southwards to Univeristy Hall.  

Makerere Students strike, University Don speaks out

Makerere University students went on strike on Tuesday demanding university administration to scrap off a policy that requires them to clear tuition by the sixth weeks.


The strike which was yesterday organized and fueled by a section of students led by Makerere University Private Students Association president, Wanyera Simon started early in the morning.


Dr. Simba Ssali Kayunga, a senior Political Science lecturer at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences termed the strike as “irrational and unrealistic” but also blaming it all on the "Museveni regime."
